IRON LYNX ANNOUNCES TWO-CAR ASIAN LE MANS SERIES EFFORT

IRON LYNX ANNOUNCES TWO-CAR ASIAN LE MANS SERIES EFFORT

Iron Lynx will field two entries in the 2026-27 Asian Le Mans Series, which relocates to Europe for the upcoming edition under the Winter Le Mans Series banner.

It will be the first time the team runs a two-car lineup in the series, supported by high-profile collaborations.

The #62 entry will run under the Team Qatar by Iron Lynx banner, with the Qatar Motor and Motorcycle Federation programme aiming to build on its outstanding showings in the European Le Mans Series.

The QMMF-branded Mercedes-AMG GT3 will be driven by bronze-rated Abdulla Al-Khelaifi, the first Qatari driver to stand on the top step of the podium in ACO-sanctioned competition. Headlining the entry as a Mercedes-AMG Performance driver will be Belgian ace Maxime Martin, who has extensive experience with Iron Lynx in both the FIA WEC and ELMS.

The #63 car, run in collaboration with Craft-Bamboo Racing, will feature Ameerh Naran, who keeps progressing in his European Le Mans Series journey. Joining him as the gold-rated driver will be Brazilian Sergio Sette Camara, who also showed strong ELMS form. Completing the lineup is Mikkel Pedersen. The 18-year-old Dane has had strong results in single-seaters and made a positive endurance racing entrance with one win in the European Le Mans Series (LMP3).

The Winter Le Mans Series calendar kicks off on 14-15 November at Circuit Paul Ricard before moving to Jerez on 16-17 January and Portimão on 20-21 February. The series will retain its previous format, with one two-hour race on Saturday and one on Sunday.

It’s great to announce our two-car entry for the upcoming edition of the Asian Le Mans Series, which will be held in Europe this season. The entry list is impressive, with a very high competitive level, and we know we must be prepared for a challenging season. We are delighted to continue our programme with QMMF and field the Team Qatar by Iron Lynx entry. I think Abdulla and Maxime are among the strongest drivers in their categories, and that really sets us up well for the start of the new campaign.

I also welcome the collaboration with Craft-Bamboo Racing, a very experienced group that chose us as a strategic partner for this effort. We had been in touch for some time, as Iron Lynx was looking to find a good partner to expand into Asia. We thought that ALMS, despite being held in Europe this year, was the right opportunity. I’m happy to see Ameerh and Sergio continue their programme after the ELMS, and I’m looking forward to working with Mikkel. I think he will be a strong addition to the team as we look to carry on our recent European form.
