IRON LYNX CARRIES SILVER ARROWS LEGACY INTO 2026 LE MANS 24 HOURS

Iron Lynx is proud to introduce its trio of special liveries for the 94th edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

The team will continue with the Mercedes-AMG Motorsport Silver Arrows concept that returned to the legendary event in 2025 to great acclaim, with the goal to pay homage to some of the most incredible racing machines of the past.

For 2026, each of the three cars will feature a different rear paint scheme, with three different color themes and personalities.

Driven by Martin Berry, Rui Andrade and Mercedes-AMG Performance Driver Maxime Martin, the #61 car will feature a bold and aggressive black theme. The #79 car, driven by Johannes Zelger, Matteo Cressoni and Mercedes-AMG Junior Driver Lin Hodenius, will be bright and dynamic with its yellow accents.

The #62 car will join the two full-season FIA WEC entries and will carry the colours of the Qatar flag. After joining forces in the European Le Mans Series, Iron Lynx and the Qatar Motor and Motorcycle Federation will mark another amazing milestone.

For the first time, a 24 Hours of Le Mans car will be fielded under the Team Qatar banner and will feature a Qatari driver, Abdulla Al Khelaifi, who has already achieved two ELMS poles in addition to highly consistent results throughout. He will be joined by his full-time teammate Julian Hanses, and by Giuliano Alesi, son of legendary F1 driver Jean Alesi.

The Iron Lynx paint schemes were revealed today in partnership with Le Mans Ultimate, the official game of the FIA World Endurance Championship and the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The liveries will also soon be available in-game for everyone who wants to use them.

It’s a great pleasure for us to bring the Silver Arrows back to the 24 Hours of Le Mans for the second consecutive year. I particularly enjoyed that we are doing it by featuring three distinct and unique personalities. We are also delighted to partner with Team Qatar as they take part for the first time in this legendary race. The first time at Le Mans is always unique and I really hope it will be an unforgettable experience.

Andrea Piccini – Team Principal & CEO

I am very pleased to see three Mercedes-AMG LMGT3 cars once again on the grid for this year’s 24 Hours of Le Mans. Our thanks go to Team Qatar and our Customer Racing Team Iron Lynx for making this additional entry possible. Continuing the story of the Silver Arrows in 2026 through the liveries of all three cars, following our debut last year, underlines the special significance this race holds within our motorsport heritage. Building on the experience gained last year, we now aim to confirm our sporting progress with a strong result at the endurance classic in Le Mans.

Stefan Wendl – Head of Customer Racing, Mercedes-AMG Motorsport

Team Qatar’s participation in the 24 Hours of Le Mans is an important moment for Qatari motorsport and reflects the country’s growing presence on the international stage. This programme is about more than participating in a race. It represents a long term investment in developing racing talent, building international experience, and creating a pathway for future generations to compete at the highest level of motorsport. Through our partnership with Iron Lynx and collaboration with Mercedes-AMG, we are creating opportunities to learn, grow, and establish a stronger foundation for Qatar in global endurance racing. We are proud to see Team Qatar compete at one of motorsport’s most iconic events and look forward to what this journey can achieve.

Abdulrahman bin Abdullatif Al Mannai – President, Qatar Motor and Motorcycle Federation (QMMF) and Lusail International Circuit (LIC)
