IRON LYNX HITS BAHRAIN AS FIA WEC SEASON COMES TO A CLOSE

Warm is the keyword at Bahrain International Circuit. While Europe descends towards winter, temperatures are pleasantly high in the Middle Eastern Kingdom. And the heat of the battle will contribute to that, with all titles to be decided and a longer race than usual, the Bapco Energies 8 Hours of Bahrain, running from 2 PM into the early Bahrain sunset.

Iron Lynx is looking forward to the weekend to capitalize on the potential and improvements made throughout the season, which have led to promising showings at Circuit of the Americas and Fuji. On a track famous for tyre wear, like COTA and Interlagos, the series will use the Goodyear Hard tyres again, which the team have proved to master well so far.

On the other hand, the strong collaborative effort with Mercedes-AMG has been paying dividends, and putting up a solid run in the 2025 finale would be a great reward for the team’s effort and a strong foundation to off preparations for 2026.

Coming back after two races where they were in the hunt for a podium, Martin Berry, Lin Hodenius, and Maxime Martin are in to continue challenging for the leading positions. The trio got its best finish in FIA WEC with P8 at Fuji Speedway, and is poised for a strong push in the finale.

The combination of Andrew Gilbert, Fran Rueda, and Lorcan Hanafin has also achieved points, ending up in P10 at Circuit of the Americas, but showed strong potential and have what it takes to fight for the top-5.

Qualifying will be key on Friday at 4 PM, after dark, and netting a hyperpole entry would be a solid way to start the weekend.

We are looking forward to delivering a strong race here in Bahrain to reward everyone in the Iron Lynx camp for their effort throughout the year. The whole team, including Mercedes-AMG, has worked extremely hard so far, and we think the time is mature for the Mercedes-AMG LMGT3 racecars to show their full potential in FIA WEC too after the strong ELMS performances. While we are here to complete our 2025 effort, we have already begun our 2026 preparation and we think the growth we have seen so far put us in a promising position for next year. A good result would be perfect to add even more motivation
