IRON LYNX X TRIVELLATO MAKES IMOLA PRACTICE DEBUT

Iron Lynx X Trivellato has kicked off its newest racing venture this weekend as the team’s #61 Mercedes-AMG GT3 EVO racecar makes its Italian Gran Turismo debut in the hands of Jean-Luc D’Auria and Lin Hodenius. The operation, a collaborative effort between the team and the legendary Italian automotive brand, kicked off today with the running of Practice 1 and 2 at the tough Italian venue, consisting of challenging corners, elevation changes and unforgiving runoff areas.
Having already entered the FIA WEC Imola event, Hodenius will drive a car in full GT3 spec for the first time as he is normally competing with the ACO-spec Mercedes-AMG LMGT3, while D’Auria will be making his debut aboard the powerful German machinery although he already has prior knowledge of the venue and series.
The potential was positive in the two free sessions as the team worked towards gaining knowledge of the car at the tough Imola venue and preparing for Qualifying on Saturday and for the Race on Sunday.
The format will feature one more FP tomorrow morning, and three separate qualifying sessions to be split between drivers in the afternoon. One of them will do one session, the other the remaining ones. The average laptime with decide the starting position. The 3-hour race will feature two mandatory pit stops with driver change and will start on Sunday at 15:30.
“It’s always exciting to start a new programme, and I’m particularly proud to do it together with Trivellato. We are determined to reward their trust, and we will do our best to bring home the result they deserve. Practice was valuable for us to lay out our plan for the rest of the weekend, and for both Jean-Luc and Lin to gain chemistry with the car.”
