IRON LYNX X TRIVELLATO SHOWS SOLID GROWTH IN MONZA ITALIAN GT WEEKEND

Iron Lynx x Trivellato secured a double top-10 finish overall in the final round of the Italian Gran Turismo Championship Sprint Series at Monza. The Italian squad lined up with its #61 Mercedes-AMG GT3 racecar for the series finale after a winning run earlier this year in the Endurance Series at Imola. Driving the German-built machinery was the combo of Lin Hodenius and Jean-Luc D’Auria.

The challenge proved tough at the Italian Speed Temple as many top additions and a tight championship battle meant that the competition was extreme.

The Iron Lynx crew worked hard on the car and made steady gains. In Race 1, D’Auria started from P13 and stayed in contention for the top-10, which was eventually achieved by his Dutch teammate. Hodenius had a strong run in Race 2, too. Following the mandatory pit-stop, D’Auria found himself in the battle for the top-5 to highlight the growth over the weekend.

A small penalty eventually forced the pairing to be content with P10, and although the podium remained elusive over the weekend, the improvements and understanding of the car increased the team’s confidence with the Italian GT package.

Iron Lynx is now set to move to Bahrain International Circuit for the final round of the 2025 campaign in the FIA World Endurance Championship.

We knew since the beginning that Monza would have been a challenging race for us. The competition was really intense, and we were lacking straightline speed on a track that is all about high speeds. However, I think we can come away satisfied with the work we have done. We want to thank Lin and Jean-Luc for the professionalism they have shown in the two Italian GT rounds, and Trivellato for proving an outstanding partner once again
