IRON LYNX LANDS IN TEXAS FOR 2025 LONE STAR LE MANS

Iron Lynx arrived in the land of the Lone Star for round 6 of the 2025 FIA World Endurance Championship, and as it prepares to mess with Texas in this weekend’s tough 6-hour event, the team is readying its pair of German muscle cars to go out on track and grab the bull by the horns.
The Lone Star Le Mans returns for its eighth edition at Circuit of The Americas, and in the land of big, the team is aiming to continue its recent progress in terms of pace and turn it into solid points finishes. With two top-5 qualifying results in the two most recent rounds at Le Mans and Interlagos, the foundations appear solid, although race-day woes prevented the team from maximizing its potential.
Driving the #60 car, Andrew Gilbert and Fran Rueda return behind the wheel for their third outing in the Mercedes-AMG LMGT3 racecar, again partnered by Spa 4 Hours podium finisher Lorcan Hanafin.
Martin Berry, who shared second place in ELMS with the British racer, will headline the #61 trio. Young sensation Lin Hodenius comes from a stellar debut win with Iron Lynx in the Italian GT Championship at Imola, while Mercedes-AMG Performance Driver Maxime Martin will once again put his amazing experience into play to support the team’s growth on one of the most unique and challenging circuits of the series.
With its fast twisty sections and elevation changes, especially the climb to the first corner with its unique braking zone, Circuit of The Americas is as bold as the land it’s built on. The 5.5-kilometer layout also has its fair share of bumps, although a recent repave has smoothed out its surface. Environmental challenges will also be part of the game, with temperatures as high as 38 degrees celsius expected in the lead-up to the race, with a drop and chances of thunderstorms on Sunday.
We are coming to COTA with the goal of keeping our positive momentum. We showed an increasingly positive form with a win in our Italian GT debut and a podium in the ELMS at Spa, but even if our score doesn’t show the potential, we have made considerable advancements in our FIA WEC journey too. We must not forget that this is the most challenging and competitive endurance championship in the world, and we finally feel we are where we want to be. All our drivers are finding more and more chemistry with the car, and that is definitely a strong point. The Mercedes-AMG LMGT3 racecars are making their debut in the USA, and we are looking forward to doing a good job on such a special occasion.
