IRON LYNX LAMBORGHINI SUPER TROFEO EUROPE LINE-UP ANNOUNCED AHEAD OF 2024 SEASON

IRON LYNX LAMBORGHINI SUPER TROFEO EUROPE LINE-UP ANNOUNCED AHEAD OF 2024 SEASON

Following a fruitful return to the series in 2023, Iron Lynx is continuing its efforts in Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe this coming season. The team’s line-up comprises a five-car entry with cars competing across four of the championship’s ultra-competitive categories.

As runners up in the 2018 world and European standings and 2023 European Lamborghini Cup champions, Iron Lynx has strong pedigree in Super Trofeo. The upcoming season will feature a concerted effort to claim more podiums, wins and titles.

The Pro category

A line-up of nine drivers from across Europe make up the team’s 2024 entry. The series’ prestigious Pro class will feature three cars including the Bulgarian duo Pavel Lefterov and Stefan Bostandjiev at the wheel of the #41, Giorgio Amati (Italy) and Jesse Salmenautio (Finland) in the #42 car as well as the #43 line-up of France’s Edgar Maloigne and Great Britain’s Georgi Dimitrov.

Pro-Am and Lamborghini Cup

In the Pro-Am category, meanwhile, an all-French line-up will compete in the #4 car; Claude-Yves Gosselin returns for another season of Super Trofeo making the step up from the Am class to race alongside Joran Leneutre. Finally, the single driver #49 entry of John Seale (Great Britain) will contest the Lamborghini Cup.

The 2024 season

The 2024 calendar is made up of six rounds taking place at some of Europe’s finest motorsport venues. The legendary Imola circuit in Italy will host April’s season opener before the series heads to the Ardennes forests of Belgium and the iconic Spa-Francorchamps for Round 2 in May. The midway point of the season is marked by Round 3 at Le Mans in June. Each of the first three races will feature on the support bill for the World Endurance Championship.

The second half of the season gets underway at the Nürburgring, Germany in late July before a lengthy summer break. Barcelona, Spain hosts the penultimate round in October. Rounds four and five will race on the same weekends as GT World Challenge Europe. Concluding the season will be Circuito Jerez, Spain, in November.

We experienced a very good return season in Super Trofeo last year. Winning the championship in Lamborghini Cup, collecting many other podiums and race wins across the categories was testament to the team’s hard work in 2023. It’s a natural fit for us to continue into 2024 and we’re very excited to have plenty of new drivers joining us for this campaign even with three cars in the Pro class.
